Ask for crispy meat on my steak burrito and was done that way. Meat was a little fatty and chewy.
The burritos are not good at all. The steak had large chunks of fat in it. Feels like chewing on pieces of rubber. Go to los juanes on bode and salem rd. Much better food. They were closed at the time so i tried panchos. Never would i come here again. 😥😥👎👎👎👎
Love the tortas and sopes
Great food at a great price. Authentic taste.
Not super impressed with anything here really. It is hard to review a place like this so low. You want to see small stores and restaurants like this succeed. But, the food is 3 stars, get my order right, without sour cream, when I am the only one there is also tough to swallow. This place is just likely aged past it's prime.
Pretty good food & service
My wife has never been to an authentic Hispanic restaurant, and she was quite impressed. Quick service, food was very good, and the cashier spoke excellent Spanish and English. Needless to say, we are already planning another lunch date there very soon!
I have heard mixed reviews about this place. But I have personally had good experiences. The food is good and they cook in the open. It is clean. The prices are fair.
Finest spot to buy food when in a hurry. Their customer service is quick, prices are affordable, great mood. I highly recommend this place
Steak burrito was superb!!
Solid Lengua tacos. Nice and beefy, not fatty or chewy. Al Pastor was good too (but I love a good lengua way more)..
I've been going there over 25 years and it's always consistently yummy :)
Their food is amazing!! The drinks, the service, the people it’s all perfect. I always take pictures of my food and when I look back at them I want more of their food.
Good service quick and food was very good
Relly really good food
Clean place, extensive menu, good pricing, tacos are good.
I love this place, been coming for years. The best authentic Mexican food in town.
After eating at a few Mexican restaurants in the area I decided I wasn't going to find anything truly authentic. After eating here at Pancho's my perception has changed. I ordered 3 tacos, lengua, al pastor and tripas. I asked for the tripas to be cooked soft instead of crunchy (crunchy is the standard) and they delivered. They were all very good and the salsas have the correct Mexican ingredients. The place is casual, order at the counter and pick up your food when ready. I was surprised at the authenticity, these tacos could easily compete with some well known places on 26th street. My husband also had tacos and enjoyed them. I didn't try the burritos because, well, I'm actually Mexican. Burritos in Mexico are nothing like what is served here in the US. They were made to cater to an American palate. If you want authentic, go for the tacos with onion and cilantro.
Great prices great food
Super long wait, but worth every minute.Great food. Fresh and authentic.Well priced as well.
Some of the best tacos in the suburbs! I've only been here during the day, but it looks like this place could handle an evening of music and dancing as well with a full bar and open space once tables are moved. The kitchen is open to view and is tidy and clean. Good service and above all great food!!
Food was ok. Service was average as well. Other reviews made me think it would be better. I ordered their combos and had enchiladas, tacos, burritos, rice and beans.
The food is always good since it is cooked to order. However don’t think I don’t understand Spanish because i don’t look like Spanish is my native language. I heard an employee saying some nasty stuff about an over weight person ordering a Diet Coke.
fantastic food, quick service always
Love the nachos!!
I have been going there for years and the food has always been great. We were looking forward to have great burritos and today was not the day to get them. So much oil, almost no mean and it was not fresh at all. We will not go there again I know. I called to find out if they have new cooks and I was told no. I asked about new owner and they said no. We will not go back.
Great Mexican food!! Definitely worth the price and not expensive!! Will definitely go back
I've heard that the food was good at this place so I wanted to try it I went inside and I think the lady answered about for phone calls and was doing everything behind the counter but asking me my order after about 5 to 6 minutes i ended up leaving and going to Subway next door. There was no one else in the restaurant when i walked in as well as there was no one in line at the moment, there was no reason for me to have waited those 5 to 6 minutes. She could have been preparing my food had she asked me what I wanted as well as she never even acknowledged me or even said hello the whole time I stood there
Food is so good.
Their tacos are decent but I've had better
Wife wanted some authentic Mexican steak tacos for cinco de Mayo. I called ahead and was told their was a long wait, as expected. Once I gave my order and he realized it was only 3 steak tacos he said he’d be able to cut the wait time in half which was nice. My only disappoint was, and I realized this too late, their tacos come with lettuce and tomato standard and I was expecting cilantro and onion as authentic. Wifey still said they were delicious though. So still pleased with the food and service!
The food was ok, the service was mediocre.
The food it's delicious and they are very fast
The was delicious but the staff wasn't as friendly which means we won't be back... such a shame
The place offers an awesome range of fresh food. I like eating here. Employees are always super nice, pricing is fair and the place is always kept clean.
Tried their steak and al pastor and it was one of the better tacos in the north suburb. Will definitely be back
Something has changed at Ponchos. The combos use to have more meat, rice and beans. They don't even serve chips and avocado any more with the combos.I used to go there with my wife because it was a hearty meal.It just seems waterdown now. Too bad.
Took my daughter and it was her first time having authentic Mexican food and she loved it. Food is great and definitely scratch made.
Good place to eat Mexican food
Very good food, decent portions
Prices increased for to surge in the cost of meat. Prices are no longer clearly displayed.
Quick and easy. Always great food.
Lived in Hoffman my entire life. Always wanted to go there for lunch when I was in high school. Pretty good average Mexican food. Nothing really sets them apart from other places, in my opinion. They make good food.
I took my Subaru to the dealership nearby and searched a place to eat since I was told to wait 2 hrs. Pancho's was right next door so I had to try it.I got Chiles Rellenos Plate, everything was fresh and delicious. Queso inside peppers melted enough to stretch but not to leak and thats perfect condition. I really liked the way they presented tortillas, in this cute little sombrero thing :)Employees were very nice, I got my food in 5 min and it seemed quite clean inside. If I was working next door I would definitely be here more often. 5 stars from me, keep on going!
Food is so good, service is friendly and bathrooms are clean. What more do you need?
Got the chicken burrito. Typical taste, nothing too special
Really amazing food and very friendly staff. Plus the music machine has a lot of great songs to choose from
The food was great. The prices were reasonable. The seating area was bright and clean.
THE SOPES ARE MY FAVORITE ❤
Best authentic burritos in the schaumburg area.
